A Knight Joins Forces

The turning of the leaves signals the approach of convention season here at Ghost Productions.  As sure and swift as the march of the season, a yearly siege ensues.  Amidst the blazing colors of autumn, we battle against time to advance our artistry and the glory of our patrons.  Patience and experience are valuable allies in these times of hardship, for we expect no true respite until the white blanket of winter is worn threadbare by the constant caress of the spring sun’s rays.  Only then can we be assured of our victory; only then do we dare sigh in relief as the earth yawns and awakens.  But our success is ever precarious, and the lack of even one animator was cause for concern, until last week.  Even as Bret Farley swore his oath of leadership, another stepped forward to aid our endeavors: Jake Knight.

“Tree Golem”A Jake Knight Creation

Taking form from fantasy, this golem would no doubt inspire fear in its adversaries and courage in its comrades.  The same could likely be said of its creator, Jake Knight.

A graduate of the Digital Media Arts program at Huntington College like Brian Thompson, the two were united months ago through a mutual instructor after Brian inquired about talented animators.  It wasn’t long before the two were discussing the possibility of Jake joining Ghost.  At the time, factors such as the cross-country relocation required lengthy consideration before Jake could make such a commitment.  But now that he has joined forces with Ghost, all can agree that the wait was worthwhile, and we welcome him with no less enthusiasm.  Yet ours may be outshone by his: as if making up for time lost, Jake has already set to work on three projects.  Confident in his skills as a rigger, Jake invites the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.  And though the tribulations of the moment may seem to favor the former more than the later, the strength of our newfound alliance is enough inspiration for the rest of us to share Jake’s bold attitude.
