Spine Surgery with Duo™ Ti Expandable Interbody Fusion System, from Spineology – Ghost Medical Animation & Surgical VR

May 26, 2022

Ghost Productions produced this visually compelling medical animation that highlights a spine surgery procedure with the Duo™ Ti Expandable Interbody Fusion System from Spineology.

The Duo Ti Implant is the first of its kind, combining Spineology’s proprietary mesh technology with porous Ti Blocks. Upon insertion, the Ti Blocks generate distractive forces capable of restoring disc height, spinal alignment, and providing indirect decompression. After insertion, the mesh component is filled with bone to create a large, endplate conforming, load sharing graft pack to reduce the risk of subsidence and help maintain correction. The material combination of mesh and porous Ti support early bony ingrowth and fusion over the entire surface area of the implant.

Ghost Productions also produced a Surgical VR training platform to help train sales reps and surgeons on the surgical procedure for the OptiMesh® Expandable Interbody Fusion System, which can be seen at: https://youtu.be/n9Eiqh_eYcY
